I took in a Bernina bought in 1976 because it wouldn't raise the bobbin thread. I had replaced the needle, but with a used one, and that was the culprit. It took Valley West 5 minutes to figure it out, replaced my needle, sent me home with the new needle and no charge. That's what I call service!
